Truck drivers remain some of the most wanted workers in the United States, and one employer is now recruiting drivers on the H-2B seasonal visa. Butler Amusements, Inc., a travelling carnival company, has an ACTIVE job order on the U.S. Department of Labor's official SeasonalJobs.dol.gov site for 35 Amusement & Recreation Attendant & Driver positions, paying $26.35 to $34.61 per hour. The season runs from 1 January to 31 October 2027, and the listed worksite is Seattle, Washington, with travel to event locations.
If you hold a CDL Class A licence (or a foreign equivalent valid in the USA) and want a season of work in America, here is everything you need to know.

What the Work Involves
This is a mixed carnival and driving role. According to the job order, drivers move vehicles from venue to venue according to the show itinerary and carry out basic vehicle maintenance. Between drives, workers help run the carnival: collecting tickets and fees, making change, helping visitors, setting up, operating, maintaining and taking down rides and equipment, and preparing and serving simple food and drinks. Travel to all locations is required and is provided by the employer.
Requirements
- CDL Class A licence or a foreign equivalent that is valid for the USA
- At least 12 months of driving experience, or pass a skills test
- Pass the U.S. Department of Transportation physical and drug screening
- Enough English to talk with the public, read highway signs, answer official questions and fill in reports and logs
- Able to lift 50 pounds and do heavy, physical work outdoors in all weather
- Available for the whole season and willing to work up to 7 days a week when needed
Note that on-the-job training is not provided, so this role is for people who can already drive large commercial vehicles. StateTally's summary of the DOL data lists lodging as offered for this order; read the full job order for the housing terms.
Is This Free Visa Sponsorship?
Yes, under the H-2B rules. The H-2B regulations (20 CFR 655.20) require the employer to pay or reimburse visa and visa processing fees in the first workweek, and they ban recruitment fees charged to workers by the employer or any recruiter it uses. Travel costs to the job are reimbursed once you complete half of the season, and return travel is paid if you finish the season or are dismissed early. You will still need to attend a visa interview at a U.S. embassy or consulate in your home country.
How to Apply
- Step 1: Read the official listing and full job order: https://seasonaljobs.dol.gov/jobs/H-400-26278-278992
- Step 2: Apply using the contacts shown by the DOL: email butleramusementsHR@yahoo.com or visit butleramusements.com.
- Step 3: In a short English email, include your name, country, phone or WhatsApp number, your licence class and years of driving experience, and confirm you can work the full 2027 season.
- Step 4: Attach a clear copy of your driving licence and a simple CV, and be ready for a phone or video interview.
Tips to Stand Out
- Prove your driving record. Mention the vehicle types you have driven (tractor-trailers, buses, heavy trucks) and any clean-record letters from past employers.
- Show you are hands-on. Carnival drivers also set up rides and serve customers, so mention any event, hospitality or mechanical experience.
- Check your licence early. Ask how your foreign licence will be treated for U.S. driving before you travel.
- Practise your English. DOT rules require drivers to read signs and speak with officials in English.
Scam Warning
Never pay anyone to get this job or an H-2B visa. Recruitment fees are illegal under H-2B rules, and visa fees are the employer's responsibility. Only use the email address and website on the official DOL page. If a social media "agent" asks for money for a "guaranteed USA driving visa", walk away.
