Truck driving is one of the most searched jobs abroad, and the US H-2A farm visa programme includes driving roles that many people do not know about. Bio Town Ag Inc has an ACTIVE job order on the U.S. Department of Labor's official SeasonalJobs.dol.gov portal for 37 Heavy and Tractor-Trailer Truck Drivers in Reynolds, Indiana. The season is short and busy, running from 1 January to 28 February 2027, with 60 hours of work per week listed.
If you have some driving experience and want to start a US work history on a legal visa, this is worth a careful look.

What the Work Involves
This is farm trucking, not long-haul freight. According to the DOL listing, drivers operate semis with trailers, including tankers above 13-ton capacity, to move manure, digestate and other nutrient-rich by-products from dairy operations to farm fields, where they are used as fertiliser. Drivers also haul grain, feed and other materials to farms, elevators and processing plants.
Other duties include:
- Loading, transporting and unloading materials safely and in line with environmental rules
- Keeping accurate logs of loads hauled
- Inspecting, cleaning and maintaining semi-tractors and tankers
- Driving workers between housing and farm fields, and to the shop, bank or laundry when needed
The listing warns that work happens in rain, snow, cold and slippery conditions, and strict biosecurity and hygiene rules apply on dairy sites. Indiana winters are cold, so warm work clothes and good boots are a must.
Requirements
- Two months of recent, verifiable experience doing the listed duties
- Able to get the appropriate CDL after hire and keep a clean driving record
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs (about 34 kg)
- Random drug testing may apply, at no cost to the worker
- Available for the full contract period
- Your country must be on the US government's yearly H-2A eligible countries list
Visa and Housing
This is an H-2A visa sponsorship job. The employer files the petition and recruits through the official DOL system. Under the H-2A rules, the employer must provide housing at no cost to workers who cannot reasonably return home each day, must not charge recruitment fees, and must pay or reimburse inbound travel and daily meal costs once you complete half of the contract. The StateTally summary of the DOL data also lists employer housing for this order.
The DOL page does not spell out who pays the visa application fee, so we describe this as visa sponsorship with free housing, not "free visa". Ask the employer in writing which costs it covers before you travel.
How to Apply
- Step 1: Read the official listing and job order: https://seasonaljobs.dol.gov/jobs/H-300-26292-307968
- Step 2: Apply through the web address shown on the DOL page: https://app.agri-placements.com/bio-town-ag-inc/jobs/11788
- Step 3: Or call the number listed by the DOL: +1 580 744 4031, extension 2968.
- Step 4: Mention your truck or tractor experience, any heavy-vehicle licence you hold, and confirm you can work the full season from 1 January to 28 February 2027.
Tips to Stand Out
- Show proof of experience. Keep reference letters from past employers that mention trucks, tractors or tankers.
- Be honest about your licence. The listing says the CDL can be obtained after hire, so say clearly what you hold now.
- Act fast. The season starts on 1 January, and visa interviews take time to book.
- Think long term. A short, successful H-2A season can lead to repeat contracts with the same employer.
Scam Warning
Never pay an agent for this job or for an H-2A visa. Recruitment fees are banned under H-2A rules. Use only the contact details on the official DOL page, and ignore anyone on WhatsApp or Facebook who asks for money to "reserve" a place.
